Fact: Potato chips are delicious. Less awesome fact: According to a Harvard study, it’s also one of the top dietary contributors to weight gain. So, if you want to shed those extra pounds, the last food you should be munching on is potato chips. Fortunately, there are lots of healthier, low calorie alternatives that allow you to replicate the delicious parts of potato chips while adding some positive nutritional value. Today, we point you a recipe for Baked Kale Chips that will make you want to kick the potato chips to the curb.

1 bunch kale, washed and dried

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt


Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C.

With a knife, carefully remove the leaves from the stems and cut into bite size pieces. Lay on the baking sheet and toss with olive oil and seasoning salt.

Bake for 10-15 minutes or until edges turn brown.

These are a low calorie nutritious snack. Just like potato chips they deliver all the flavor but with none of the guilt. For spicier version add paprika and red chili flakes.
